Prijať či neprijať dedičstvo? Chodí po svete sám, osamelý, bez domova. Divočinou, nebezpečenstvom. Jeho život spočíva v putovaní po hraniciach mnohých krajín len preto, aby neboli ohrozené nepriateľmi. Bdie nad nimi ako otec nad svojimi deťmi. A predsa o ňom nik nevie. Nik netuší nič o jeho existencii. Je sám, osamelý. A predsa sa za jeho tvrdým a na prvý pohľad nepríjemným zovňajškom skrýva oveľša viac, ako môže okoloidúci či dokonca priateľ čakať. Jeho predkovia zlyhali. Svoju životnú úlohu nezvládli. A on teraz po mnohé desiatky rokov svojho života platí za chyby svojich predkov. Je to Chodec. No prichádza jeho čas. Prichádza s otázkou: Prijať či neprijať dedičstvo kráľov? Svoju rodovú líniu... Zaplatiť za chyby svojich otcov a v prípade úspešného absolvovania tejto skúšky sa stať najmocnejším kráľom. Z úkrytu svojho plášťa povstáva mocný a láskavý kráľ...

Takýto je príbeh Aragorna, kráľa Obnoveného Kráľovstva Gondoru a Arnoru, známeho ako Elessar, z trilógie Pána prsteňov od spisovateľa J.R.R. Tolkiena.

 

Prečo začínam svoj príbeh práve takto? V podstate je to príbeh každého z nás. Nielen môj. Na počiatku naši prví predkovia zlyhali. A po nich naši ďalší a ďalší. Teraz sme tu my. Ako sa zachováme každý okamih nášho života? Aké dedičstvo odovzdáme svojim deťom? Opäť to bude zlyhanie v tom najpodstatnejšom z nás? Vo svojom srdci voči Bohu, svetu a nám samotným? Alebo...?

Chodíme po tomto svete bez domova. Je to preto, že sme z nášho srdca vyhnali našu podstatu - Boha, lásku. Domov nášho srdca spustol. No verím, že už dnes odhodíme Chodcov plášť a postavíme sa sami sebe, svojim povahám, svojmu nedokonalému ja. Že prijmeme sami seba a budeme žiť život hodný kráľovských detí. Nie je to prehnaná metafora. My totiž patríme Bohu, Nebeskému Rodičovi, ktorý je kráľom tohto sveta. Láskavým a múdrym. My sme jeho deti. Len odhoďme svoje staré plášte nedokonalosti a staňme sa pravými Božími deťmi! Na tomto svete nemáme trpieť, ani sa plahočiť pustatinou samoty a nedokonalosti. Práve naopak!

Zdokonaľujme každým dňom viac a viac samých seba vo svojom srdci, vo vzťahoch ku všetkým ľuďom vôkol nás, vo vzťahu k svojmu manželovi či manželke i vo vzťahu k našim deťom, k svetu. Nemusíme sa báť tejto zmeny. Čaká na nás a teší sa, keď nám bude môcť na hlavu položiť korunu - dôkaz toho, že sme naozaj dobrými ľuďmi už dnes.
